Abstract:
The spectral characteristics of sealed carbon monoxide lasers with different isotopic compositions were investigated at room temperature. The emission spectra were recorded for three identical CO lasers filled with gas mixtures containing 12C16O, 13C16O, and 12C16O–13C16O. In the case of lasers with nonselective resonators the number of emission lines in the 1893–1610 cm–1 range was 28–30 (for the mixture of isotopes it was 22). The emission spectrum of the laser filled with 13C16O was shifted by 40 cm–1 in the direction of lower frequencies compared with the spectrum of the 12C16O laser.
