Abstract:
A high-sensitivity pulsed CARS (coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering) spectrometer with a resolution of 3 × 10–3 cm–1 is described. Spectra with a resolved rotational structure of the Q branch of the v1 vibrations of 32SF6 and 34SF6 molecules were obtained. Measurements were made of the vibrational-rotational interaction constant a and of the vibrational frequency v1.
