Abstract: Stimulated Raman scattering in compressed hydrogen pumped with picosecond YAG:Nd laser pulses was used to generate radiation of wavelengths 1.907 and 9.191 μ. The average energy of the pulses represented by the first and second Stokes components of stimulated Raman scattering was 34 mJ and 230 μJ, respectively.
