Abstract:
Estimates are made of the rate constants of radiative spontaneous and stimulated transfer of energy in rhodamine 6G–oxazine 17, rhodamine 6G–cresyl violet, and rhodamine C–oxazine 17 systems as a function of the acceptor concentration when the solutions are excited by laser radiation. A comparison between theoretical and experimental data and an analysis of the mechanisms of excitation of the acceptor in these mixed dye solutions suggests that if the direct excitation of the acceptor can be neglected, stimulated energy transfer will predominate in the range of acceptor concentrations lower than 10–4 mol/liter.
