Observation of stimulated Raman scattering of laser radiation in experiments on foils

Abstract: An investigation was made of stimulated Raman scattering spectra representing the interaction of the second harmonic of a neodymium laser with foils. The characteristics of the scattering process were found to depend on the foil thickness and an interpretation of this dependence was developed.
