Abstract:
An analysis is made of two methods for phase correction of the wind refraction of a light beam traveling in a medium containing droplets which can be evaporated because of interaction with the beam. It is shown numerically that programmed or adaptive control of the phase makes it possible to improve considerably the quality of focusing of the beam. It is demonstrated that convergence of the phase conjugacy algorithm in adaptive focusing of a beam deteriorates on increase in the water content of the medium.
