Abstract:
An effective method for increasing the spectral brightness of a tunable organic dye laser was based on the use of two coupled resonators with electrooptic switching of the Q factor during the process of pumping. When the width of the lasing spectrum was 2.5 pm and the output radiation was strongly polarized, the near-maximum (for this laser) efficiency was achieved and its value was 8.5 times higher than the efficiency of a similar laser with a single dispersive resonator.
