Active stabilization of a carbon dioxide laser with a diffraction selector

Abstract: Active stabilization was achieved in a CO2 laser with a diffraction selector in the resonator. This system made it possible to tune the P(18) and R(20) stimulated emission lines of the 1000–0001 transition so that the amplitude instability amounted to 0.5% in 14 min. The output power was about 1 W.
