Bragg diffraction of λ = 10.6 μ radiation by acoustic waves in proustite

Abstract: The Bragg diffraction of λ = 10.6 μ radiation by longitudinal acoustic waves was observed in proustite. The angular characteristics of the radiation entering and leaving the proustite crystal were determined. The number of independent resolvable elements at the exit from the crystal was 20. The ratio of the intensity of the diffracted radiation to the intensity of the incident beam was 3·10–3.
