Abstract:
The angular divergence of the radiation generated in a ~100 J laser, using a solution of rhodamine 6G in ethanol, was determined as a function of the concentration of the dye molecules and the spectral composition of the pumping radiation. The time dependence of the angular divergence was also investigated. The lowest divergence was obtained when a saturated aqueous solution of NaCOOH (active molecule concentration 3.3×10–5 mole/liter) was used as a filter.
