Abstract:
A mutichannel analyzer was developed on the basis of linear charge-coupled devices intended to record optical and soft x-ray irradiation. The output signal was analyzed on a computer or displayed on an oscilloscope screen. The analyzer had a number of advantages over the detectors used earlier particularly in the x-ray range: it was characterized by a high spatial resolution and a good linearity, and it was also possible to obtain data on-line. The temporal and spectral parameters of ruby and YAG:Nd3+ lasers with self-mode locking were determined and the continuous and line x-ray emission spectra were recorded for a plasma created by pulses of these lasers at power densities up to ~1015 W/cm2.
