Electron-beam control of the radiation emitted by injection light sources

An experimental investigation was made of the possibility of control and spatial scanning of the emission from injection light sources by a beam of 4–10 keV electrons. The active element was a Ga_1–xAl_xAs light-emitting diode with a barrier layer between one of the metal contacts and the semiconductor.
