Abstract:
An investigation is made of the selective properties of linear resonators containing an arbitrary number of focusing, stopping, and dispersive optical components. General expressions are obtained for the pass bands of such resonators. These expressions are used in an analysis of the influence of the position of a lens and the size of a stop on the selectivity of a resonator with a lens.
