Abstract:
Simultaneous lasing was achieved experimentally due to vibrational–rotational transitions in HF molecules and due to electronic transitions in XeF, KrF, and ArF excimer molecules by electric-discharge initiation of an F2–Xe(Kr, Ar)–He–H2 gas mixture. An investigation was made of the influence of various atomic and molecular additives on the operation of an electric-discharge excimer laser. It was found that most additives reduced the output energy of the excimer laser.
