Precision of the wavefront determination with the aid of a multicycle phase conjugation algorithm

Abstract: An investigation is made of an algorithm for determination of the wavefront of a signal reflected from an object and propagating in a turbulent atmosphere. An analysis is made of the situation when the processing quality cannot be improved by signal accumulation in a receiver. It is shown that a significant improvement in the quality of wavefront determination with the aid of the investigated phase conjugation algorithm can be achieved by concentration of the radiation energy on the object. The conditions are found under which the algorithm processing increases in precision to the required value even when a low-power source of the initial illumination of the object is used.
