Continuous-wave YAG:Nd laser with simultaneous passive and kinematic mode locking

It was found experimentally that combination of passive and kinematic mode locking in a cw YAG:Nd laser made it possible to extend the separate capabilities of each of these methods, and to generate ultrashort pulses with stable amplitudes and durations.
