Holographic selector telescope for grazing diffraction

Abstract: A study was made of holographic recording of volume phase gratings in dichromated gelatin films designed for operation in the grazing incidence case. The special properties of grazing diffraction by volume phase gratings were analyzed. The diffraction efficiency achieved in this way was ~30% when the angle of incidence was 88°.
