Abstract:
The results are given of the development and testing of an optical integrated circuit of a multichannel electrooptic modulator containing loaded optical strip waveguides formed in a base multilayer GaAs–GaAs1–xPx epitaxial structure. A report is given of the results of optimization of the parameters of the modulator and of the strip waveguides. An experimental value of the half-wave voltage for each modulator channel (~ 24 V) is shown to agree well with the calculated value.
