Pulsed operation of a CO2 laser with time scanning of the emission spectrum

Abstract: A study was made of the operation of a Q-switched CO2 laser in the range 9.171–10.808 μm of the second harmonics with wavelengths 4.585–5.404 μm, and also of the operation of a CO laser in the range 5.427–5.849 μm. The emission spectra were investigated by automatic time scanning with the aid of a diffraction grating and a rotating mirror, both placed inside the resonator.
