Two-wave emission from a cw solid-state YAG:Nd3+ laser

V. E. Nadtocheev, O. E. Nanii

Abstract: Simultaneous emission of two wavelengths, λ1 = 1.064 μm and λ2 = 1.318 μm, from a cw solid-state YAG:Nd3+ laser was achieved and studied experimentally. It was demonstrated that the spatial and amplitude characteristics of the λ2 radiation could be controlled by modulating the losses of the λ1 radiation. It was established that the stability of the radiation power at the two wavelengths could be enhanced by introduction of nonlinear losses. The emission of two cw series of pulses at wavelengths λ1 and λ2, and tuning of their relative delay was achieved.
