Abstract:
Spectral dependences of reflection in a degenerate four-wave interaction of CO2 laser radiation in resonant SF6, CF3Br, and CD4 gases were investigated with a spectral resolution of 5 X 10 – 2 cm – 1. A structure associated with one- and two-photon vibrational transitions in the gases was observed in the spectra. High reflection coefficients (of some tens of percent) were achieved by optimizing the phase conjugation conditions whilst maintaining the resonant character of the reflection.
