Amplification of single pulses in a gadolinium scandium gallium garnet crystal activated with Cr³⁺and Nd³⁺

Abstract: The gain Nσ = 0.7 cm^–1 was determined for an active element in the form of a gadolinium scandium gallium garnet (GSGG) crystal activated with Cr³⁺ and Nd³⁺. The total gain exceeded 10³ in a two-pass compact GSGG:Cr³⁺:Nd³⁺ laser amplifier.
