Threshold of orientational self-focusing of a Gaussian optical beam in nematic liquid crystals

Abstract: A numerical calculation method was developed for determination of the threshold of orientational self-focusing of a Gaussian optical beam incident normally on a homeotropically oriented nematic liquid crystal.
