Method for measuring losses in channel waveguides

A method was developed for determination of the losses in single-mode channel waveguides capable of providing the required information for a waveguide in contact with a single-mode fiber and of the efficiency of the contact. The method was employed in determination of the losses in a single-mode Ti:LiNbO₃ channel waveguide.
