Abstract: An investigation was made of the brightness of Kr2F* luminescence (λ = 420 ± 45 nm) in KrF2–CF4–N2 (Ar, Kr) mixtures at a total pressure of 2 atm, excited by radiation from an open high-current discharge, as a function of the N2 and Kr concentration. Measurements were made of the rate constants of the following reactions: KrF* + Kr + M→ Kr2F* + M(He, CF4, Kr), = 5.8 × 10–39 cm6, KrF* + N2 + M → KrN2F* + M(He, CF4, N2), = 1.3 × 10–39 cm6.
