Formation of narrow output beams in wide-aperture resonators with multipass mode selection

Abstract: A method is proposed for reducing the angular divergence of radiation from wide-aperture lasers with stable resonators by formation of parallel multipass mode beams at the exit. The use of a resonator with a slit in the mirror for implementation of this method can increase by three orders of magnitude the radiation power density in the far-field zone of a gasdynamic laser.
