Abstract: A detailed description is given of the construction and operating principles of an automated laser atomic fluorescence analytical spectrometer based on the use of a narrow-band pulsed dye laser, a nonlinear frequency converter, and excimer pump laser, and a graphite electrothermal atomizer. A detection limit for lead in aqueous solutions of 5 X 10 – 11% was achieved in tests of the apparatus.
