Abstract:
A comparison was made of the effects of the interaction of λ = 337 nm laser radiation and of ultraviolet radiation in a band of 300–380 nm with polymethylmethacrylate exposed previously to x rays. The absorption line of the end macroradicals, created by the ionizing radiation and responsible for the photomodification of the polymer, was found to be inhomogeneously broadened and the photoreactions took place under saturation conditions.
