Abstract:
A study was made of the possibility of deviation from linearity of the scattering coefficient of an aerosol deflector at high laser-beam intensities. Determination was made of the lower limit of the intensity above which there was a change in the phase state of the particles in the aerosol layer. It was established that the distortions in visualization of high-intensity infrared laser beams by means of an aerosol layer were least when the duration of a luminescence flash was equal to the relaxation time of the luminescence emitted by the aerosol particles.
