Analytic method of calculation of energy parameters of thermal gasdynamic lasers

Abstract: A method is given for the calculation of the parameters of thermal gasdynamic lasers. The rate equations are solved using the condition for steady-state emission, which makes it possible to find analytic expressions for the width of the stimulated emission zone and laser radiation intensity. A study is made of the influence of the rate of relaxation of the deformation mode of CO2 on the laser parameters.
