Abstract:
The mechanism of distortion of frequency resonance profiles, associated with a power resonance correction to a saturated dispersion line mediated by the characteristics of the amplifying medium, is considered for lasers with an internal absorption cell. An expression is obtained for a frequency resonance profile subject to allowance for the resonant influence of the parameters of the active medium under two- and single-mode emission conditions. The results are reported of an experimental investigation of an asymmetry of frequency resonances and shifts exhibited by a stabilized two-mode He–Ne/CH4 laser recorded at different levels of spectral resolution.
