Abstract:
A method is proposed for calculating thermal effects in the tissue of the fundus oculi exposed to laser radiation. An investigation is made of the influence of tissue pigmentation, pulse duration, and size of the exposed area on the kinetics of heating of the retina and pigmented epithelium by a radiation flux having a Gaussian radial intensity distribution. An analysis is made of the characteristics of the action of a sequence of short radiation pulses on the ocular tissue.
