Infrared frequency standard based on osmium tetraoxide

A CO₂/OsO₄ laser standard with a frequency stability of ~3×10^–13 and a frequency reproducibility ~3×10^–12 was constructed and investigated. The absolute value of the frequency of this standard was determined to within 3×10^–12 and this value was 28 464 676 938 787 ± 95 Hz.
