Abstract:
A numerical investigation is reported of the propagation of a light beam in a medium with large-scale fluctuations of the wind velocity. An analysis is made of the control of the beam wavefront by aperture tagging of the lowest aberrations. The Monte Carlo method is used to find the efficiency of compensation of thermal defocusing in an irregular medium. It is shown that the control parameters found from the average wind velocity are on the average optimal in the presence of wind fluctuations.
