Influence of temperature and mechanical stresses on the coupling of coaxial waveguides

Abstract: Theoretical and experimental investigations were made of the influence of temperature and mechanical stresses on the coupling between coaxial waveguides. The condition of equality of the propagation constants of the waveguides was determined. Calculations and experiments indicated that a coaxial waveguide is a promising medium for the construction of temperature and stress sensors.
