Tunable parametric ZnGeP₂ crystal oscillator

Abstract: An analysis is made of various phase-matched nonlinear laser devices utilizing ZnGeP₂ crystals with the chalocopyrite structure. The coefficients in the Sellmeier formula for the refractive indices of the crystal are given. Tuning curves of an optical parametric ZnGeP₂ oscillator are obtained for the case of pumping with two erbium laser lines.
