Abstract:
The statistics of the photocurrent in an optimal detector of noncoherent wide-band optical radiation is analyzed under various atmospheric "seeing" conditions. An allowance is made for the quantum effects and detection noise. It is shown that atmospheric phase distortions result in a change in the photocurrent statistics and in deterioration of the energy characteristics of the recorded distributions.
