Problem of wavefront reversal by stimulated Brillouin scattering

An analysis is made of the possibility of wavefront reversal by stimulated Brillouin scattering employing a four-wave process. It is shown that this method can be used to vary within wide limits the frequency and width of the spectral line of the radiation with a reversed wavefront.
