Spectral dependence of the effect of external perturbations on a negative-feedback laser

An analysis was made of the influence of external perturbations on a solid-state laser stabilized by a negative feedback. The spectral dependence of the influence of such perturbations was determined for a YAG:Nd³⁺ feedback laser. It was found that the output intensities of ruby and YAG:Nd³⁺ lasers could be controlled by intracavity loss modulation.
