About time incompatibility of a system of equations for nonstationary laser operation

Abstract: The nonlinear differential equationsdescribing solid-stae laser emission in a nonstationary regime as enunciated in the monograph Computation Methods for Lasers, edited by Academician B I Stepanov, are found to be incompatible in time and thus violate the law of conservation of energy. A simple correction is proposed.
