Abstract:
The rate constants $k_{H_2}$, $k_{CH_4}$, $k_{HCl}$ and $k_{Cl_2}$ of the $F+H_2\rightarrow iHF+H$, $F+CH_4\rightarrow HF+CH_3$, $F+HCl\rightarrow tHF+Cl$, and $F+Cl_2\rightarrow tFCl+Cl$ reactions were determined by two methods: 1) determination of the delay times of the stimulated emission signal relative to the beginning of the reaction-initiating pulse; 2) determination of the decay time of the stimulated radiation. The constants $k_{H_2}$ and $k_{CH_4}$ obtained in the present study were in good agreement with the published values. The constants $k_{CH_4}$, $k_{HCl}$, and $k_{Cl_2}$ determined by the two methods were in satisfactory agreement.
