Abstract:
An experimental investigation was made of the spectral characteristics of the excitation of high vibrational states of the iodotrifluoromethane molecule in high-power infrared laser fields. In the quasicontinuum of high vibrational states there were band structures due to random coincidence of radiation-excited modes with the harmonics and combination vibrations of other vibrational modes. The dissociation efficiency of this molecule in the single-frequency regime was attributed to the very small value of the red shift.
