Internal modulation of the direction of polarization of $CO_2$ laser radiation

Abstract: Theoretical and experimental studies were made of intracavity modulation of the direction of polarization of $CO_2$ laser radiation using a GaAs crystal whose phase anisotropy was varied by the transverse Pockels effect. The efficiency of the method is indicated.
