Polycarbodiimides

The literature data on the synthesis, structure, and properties of a promising class of polyfunctional polymers - polycarbodiimides - are surveyed. The polymerisation reactions of the carbodiimide groups of the polymers and the reactions involving polyaddition to various functional groups with formation of linear and network polymers are described. Certain aspects of the practical use of polycarbodiimides are considered. The bibliography includes 320 references.
