Abstract:
The mechanisms of nonradiative transitions in lanthanide ions in solutions are discussed. The results of the use of this phenomenon in the study of the structures and stability constants of complexes of lanthanide ions in solutions are described. The possible uses of the nonradiative energy transfer between lanthanide ions in the determination of the stability constants of their complexes and for the detection of unstable dinuclear bridged complexes are considered. The luminescence-spectroscopic methods for the determination of the rates of rapid ligand exchange in lanthanide complexes in solutions are discussed. The bibliography includes 62 references.
