Catalytic hydrogenation of alkyne and alkadiene impurities in alkenes. Practical and theoretical aspects

Abstract: Catalytic systems for selective hydrogenation of highly unsaturated impurities (dienes and alkynes) in hydrocarbon streams are considered. Nano-sized bimetallic catalysts based on palladium or gold are shown to be the most promising catalytic systems.
