Abstract:
This review discusses reasons for the appearance of chemical faults in macromolecules during the preparation of polymers by addition polymerisation or polycondensation and as a result of substitution, oxidation, and other reactions of polymers. The presence of anomalous monomer units in chemically imperfect macromolecules leads to the formation of heterounit polymers, and their presence in the latter exerts a great influence on the chemical and physical properties of the polymers. A list of 198 references is included.
