Abstract:
Alkylenediphosphine dioxides are a new group of highly effective complex-forming agents capable of binding metal ions to form chelate rings. The review discusses methods for the synthesis of neutral bidentate organophosphorus complex-forming agents based on diphosphine dioxides, their extraction properties, and the possibility of the modification of the structural and steric factors which influence significantly the complex-forming properties of the ligand. The bibliography includes 133 references.
