Abstract:
Studies of the properties of the electrical double layer and of the zero-charge points for certain metals in a solid electrolyte consisting of stabilised zirconium dioxide are reviewed. The influence of the electrode potential, temperature, and composition of the gas phase on the double layer capacitance and the zero-charge point is examined. A correspondence is established on the basis of experimental data between the potential of the minimum on the "capacitance–potential" curve and the zero-charge points for tin and silver.
