Acetylene: new prospects of classical reactions

Abstract: The latest results in the field of classical reactions of acetylene are analysed. Attention is focused on reactions catalysed by strong bases (vinylation, alkynol synthesis, acetylene–allene isomerisation) and related syntheses.
